Training

Growing in clinical practice.

Continuous professional development is an integral part of responsible clinical practice.

Background

The importance of training.

I believe every profession has its own complexities and challenges, which often carry a significant stress load. Healthcare professions in particular rely not only on technical and instrumental skills, but also — in most cases — on important relational and human capacities.

It is essential to learn tools that help develop and make the most of one's competencies, especially in managing conflicts with patients or colleagues, in personal or professional crises, and in moments of stress that can also affect private life, among many other aspects.

The training programme includes both a theoretical component — where participants acquire foundational and advanced knowledge on the topics covered — and a practical component, where they can practise with one another during sessions. Time is also set aside for sharing personal experiences and feelings, with the aim of feeling supported and welcomed by others who have faced similar difficulties, offering the opportunity to exchange useful advice.

Contents

Doctor-patient relationship
